How to Compress a RAW Photo Online?

Using our online RAW photo compressor is completely free, and no registration is required. You can use this tool to compress as many RAW files (3fr, ari, arw, bay, cr2, cr3, crw, etc.) as you want without any watermark applied to your photos.

  1. Select an output extension because RAW format photos cannot be compressed directly (you can convert your RAW files to another format like JPEG, PNG, or others).
  2. Choose the compression level you wish to apply to your files before starting the upload of RAW photos online (this option can be used if you're converting your RAW photos to another format, as the choice of compression level will have no impact).
    • Best quality: A slight compression will be applied to prioritize visual quality above all.
    • Best compression: Offers a balance between good compression and good file quality (applied to your files by default).
    • Choice of compression level: You can select a compression level between 1 (maximum compression) and 100 (no compression) and adjust the ideal level to find the balance between visual quality and file size.
  3. Upload your RAW photos that you wish to compress by clicking the « ADD IMAGES » button; you can also drag and drop your RAW files into the dashed drop zone.
  4. Please wait a moment while your files are processed! Once a RAW file is processed, you'll be able to see the weight before and after compression, the compression level on the thumbnail, and the storage space saved after compression.
  5. Adjust the compression level by clicking on the thumbnail and using the quality slider to set the level as you desire, and confirm the changes by clicking the « OK » button. All of this is valid if you're converting your RAW photos because this format, unfortunately, cannot be displayed directly on a web page, and the choice of compression level has no impact on the RAW format.
  6. Download your images by clicking the « DOWNLOAD ALL IMAGES » button to obtain a ZIP archive containing all the compressed files. You can also download each file individually by clicking the « DOWNLOAD » button below the thumbnails.

For additional online RAW photo compression, clear the current files by clicking the « CLEAR ALL » button and repeat the process. Thanks to our RAW compression tool, you can quickly reduce the file size while maintaining good visual quality.
